Ah, Boo is back to school tomorrow. I have loved the past three weeks of Boo and Mommy time but it’s time to get back on track. I am still fighting some jet lag. It’s been a week since we’ve been back but last night I still couldn’t get to bed before midnight. Sadly, I am on my second to last book I bought last week so I am running out of stuff to read. I bought 6 books 🙂 Good thing the latest issue of Vanity Fair came today. I still haven’t read last months and I got Marie Claire and InStyle at the Walgreens before we left Florida. So some fun stuff to look at to keep busy. I also got tons of cool scrapbooking stuff so I can keep working on Boo and Miranda’s books. And I guess I could throw cleaning my house in there too, but what fun is that??
I came across a very dangerous website the other day and I just have to share it. YOOX I have looked at this site before when I lived in the US (the US site obviously) and if you like to shop and shop for nice stuff (Theory, D&G, Armani, Diesel etc) this is a great site. I also like Blufly Another great site featuring designer clothes for less. Since I can not in good presense of mind wear most of the German fashions (no offense anyone) I spend way to much time searching for good US fashions and brands I can relate to. Even worse contemplate shipping something from the very few US sites who will send overseas. That means enormous shipping ($20 plus usually) and then the 19% customs on the price. But a girl just has to look good sometimes you know?
Ok, who am I kidding. My wardrobe consists of jeans and sweaters and t-shirts (but I’m trying). Basically I can pass for a college student. I am slowly working on dealing with the reality that in a month and four days I AM TURNING THIRTY!!! I am trying desperately to act and dress my age, but darn it’s hard to grow up. If you’ve got any tips let me know.
Never try and dress your age (or what society thinks you should dress like). Dress in what you feel comfortable and happy with 🙂

I second Haddock’s comment. But don’t try to dress like most 30 year old Germans! They either look like Omas or teenagers (both looks just not that flattering on 30-somethings).
