It’s that time again. Yep, time to visit our friendly neighborhood Mouse. As in Mickey Mouse. Only this time we are visiting his Florida estate 🙂 We are booking a Disney Cruise/Magic Kingdom stay for Carnival week next year. Can I just tell you how excited I am? And the coolest part is I get to have my mom and dad (he’s the BIGGEST Disneyland person I know besides me) come along! And even better, the whole thing is going to be a Christmas surprise for the kids. Provided we don’t let it slip before then – that’s a long way away!
It all started because I was telling my mom on the phone about all these airline miles we need to use up. I had joked (only part joking) to Hubby that we should go to Disney World since I’d never been to that one. I told my mom. My dad has always wanted to take the kids to Disney. So she said if we ever really did it they’d love to come along. So I told Hubby and one thing led to another…
And we are going. I have never been on a cruise before and I am a bit worried because boats and the ocean and me don’t mix well (My parents can tell you all about the disastrous trip between the Hawaiian islands when I was 15. I don’t think I have ever gotten so sick to put it nicely. And three years ago taking the ferry from Cape May, NJ to Rehobeth, DE. I was a pretty shade of green though I did manage not to up-chuck lunch. Nervous, oh yeah. Everyone says these boats are different and huge and I’ll never feel it. I better not. If I throw up in front of Mickey, he just might not want to marry me.
It will be a lovely break in what I am sure will be a bleak dreary winter. And we will have kid helpers, how cool is that?
