Isn’t that a fun title? And I do mean it pretty literally. I am making a cake for next Friday’s dinner party. It will be the one year Gotcha Day anniversary of having Chickadee on the 27th so we thought we’d celebrate it the night of our dinner. But I am really stuck as to what to put on the cake (provided I can actually do something creative). I am asking for ideas for either frosting color(s), design ideas or anything you think might be fun. I can think up better ideas than I can actually complete (baking is not my strong point). I wish I could create masterpieces like these though.

I have a round pan and a square pan and some marzipan for trying to create flowers or bears or something. Please leave your ideas in the comments.
I love to bake but have no ability to decorate. Wish I could create something as wonderful as these shown. Is there any sort of symbol/tradition from her hertitage that might spark a creative idea?

I’m cake retarded myself… but I just had to comment that those cakes look LOVELY!! I agree with SA… any symbol you could do? When Riley turned 1, I made butterfly shaped cakes. I made the cake in the square pan and then traced a butterfly on top and cut it out. They looked awesome!

I had to read the post twice ’cause initially I had to read to see if you were the one who made these gorgeous cakes!!I know you can go to “Family Fun” Magazine online and they have a lot of really cute cake and cupcake ideas. I would choose something that represents something Chickadee likes…
