Writer’s Workshop with MamaKat

MamaKat is hosting Writer’s Workshop today so please read up here and then go and join in over there!  It’s always a lot of fun.  Today I chose this prompt:

2.) List ten things you can do in three minutes

  1. Blog
  2. Read blogs
  3. Make coffee
  4. Change a diaper
  5. Eat chocolate
  6. Make Boo’s lunch
  7. Decide it’s too icky out to do anything
  8. Tell Chick to get OFF her highchair
  9. Put Chick in timeout
  10. Write this post 🙂

See that wasn’t so hard was it? So head over and see who else is playing today at MamaKat’s Losing it!
I realize after reading some other lists it’s quite possible that we are supposed to list all the things we can accomplish in only three minutes, not things that take us three minutes each.  I already linked up so I’ll leave it and you can all know about my lack of following directions  my own way of interpreting things that generally gets me in trouble.

  1. I also thought about this prompt and even made a three minute list before deciding to follow another prompt. Just for the record, my list agreed with yours on three items.Good list.

  2. I interpreted this prompt the same way you did – so I think you did follow directions. Numbers 3,4 & 5 (especially number 5) would have been on my list, but I chose a different prompt. Enjoyed your list.

  3. Directions smerections! Wait, that sounded much more innocent in my head…Anyway, that’s an excellent list, and I have to say that earlier today I wrote a blog post in less than 3 minutes myself! But it’s only, like, 2 sentences.Your accomplishment is much more impressive!

  4. Dan – I would have loved to see the three minute list.Son Tert – Thank goodness I wasn’t the only one who thought that’s what it meant.Blueviolet – I’m talking about the little list like that. I spend way too much time writing posts probably! And I too suffer from chocolate problems ;)Natasha – LOL! Really, I can’t stop a giggle every time.

  6. I followed your link to MamaKat…and chose #2 prompt also! My take on it is slightly different…but I did come up with a list…lol. Interesting prompt…really makes ya think! Btw–I thought the same thing at first, till you pointed it out. I read some of the other folk’s lists and I’m not sure how anyone could do some of those lists in only 3 minutes! lol They need a Cape and a big S! heheh!

  7. I was confused by the prompt – list things that take 3 minutes? Or take 3 minutes to list 10 things? I’d put cycling at the top of any “things I can do list” – except that it takes me more than 3 minutes to cycle. Doh!Have a great day

  8. Robin – that post was easy, most take far longer.Retro – Don’t you wear your cape under your clothes?? ;)Righton – Diapers are no problem around here (though hopefully departing soon…)dadshouse – The list would be far different if it was taking three mins to list I do! Cycling would also make the cut for me.NateandJake – I’m hoping I was right!Petra – I like those ones too. That’s why I enjoy the picture posts!Dr Zibbs – All I have is peanut butter and jelly that may or may not be expired. For the bread well, do you like green fuzz? How about mac n cheese instead?
